To insert the elastic, cut a piece of 1โณ elastic that is 1/2โณ longer than your strap. I did this because I wanted to make sure there was overhang for attachment. I always find it easier to cut elastic a tiny bit longer because you can always trim it. Can't add to it once it's cut.
